Starting her performance career out in local haunts throughout Rochester and Buffalo, JoAnn has built a fan base of dedicated music listeners, and has independently released two full length CDs. Her musical style incorporates elements of flamenco, jazz, blues, folk and rock with vocals that are both sultry and whimsical. A concert with JoAnn takes the listener through a gamut of emotions with lyrics ranging from anti war songs to songs of love. What makes Vaccaro’s style truly unique is how she incorporates her humor into her show. In addition to her clipped guitar style and Dylan-esqe harmonica playing, Vaccaro is known to take a comical kazoo solo from time to time.
